WebStory Web Content Management WCM
The WebStory content management system has been delivering sites since 1999. In that time it has changed vastly and this will simply continue in the inevitable 'software development' way; well, revenues have to come from somewhere!

WebStory was originally created for an internal Royal Sun Alliance global newsletter and site but wasn't really developed in 'anger' until the Global Health Economics department of Novartis Pharma in Switzerland required a site engine that allowed them to manage their content.
WebStory since has gone through various updates, changes and splits all of which have combined into the powerful product we have today.
- Functions :- the central function of WebStory is to allow content mangement of an inter/intranet 'property' by a team of content editors. The means to do this are to split the presentation of the site from the content and then allow automation tools to ease the creation and management of that content. WebStory is an on and offline CMS.
- Features :- the use of presentation templates to control page/site design, leverages current and 'standard' IT skills for adding/updating content, default CSS and element design (via a user library) for inclusion and consistency of content layout, full multi-level security (author and reader) for all pages, automatic menu creation that respects security settings for each page, full site search, forum, RSS blog and much more.
- Benefits :- you 'own' your site and don't need to go through a design agency, simple and rapid site implementation, content is 'king' as the content editor is only concerned with 'content', leverages 'standard' IT skills, increases the speed of response to the need for site updates, expensive use of design professionals minimised, edit your site anywhere with adequate network and browser access.
