I like the idea of Content Management, how do I proceed?

In most cases it is a quick and simple task to convert your present site to content management.

The only exception to this rule are sites with dynamic features such as online databases and ecommerce. All are possible but these take a little longer.

The process of converting your site is 5 fold;

  1. Take the existing page design and create the Presentation Templates: this is the process of creating your templates on which all your site pages are based. This is normally a process of looking at your existing pages, deciding what is 'content' and what is 'design' and marking the content areas so that WebStory knows where your content will be.

  2. Loading the templates and images into WebStory: a quick task.

  3. Creating the navigation structure: WebStory has built in navigation aids that your site can use or you can use your present solution.

  4. Importing your present pages: this can be done automatically or by hand.

  5. Test: no site is ever ready without a full and complete testing period.
